In that historical day, standing together the share holders, Board of Directors and guests surrounding the location where the first official bored piling was about to take place. Everyone stood still in excitement. Cameramen and photographers stood ready to capture this important moment.
The pastors gathered together to pray over the holes, poured oil and laid the scriptures inside those holes, declaring the Word over the ground. Then they started the machine and the deep drilling began.
After that day, the site was pretty much covered from the outside with the yellow fences surrounding the parameters. Outsiders would never knew what happened inside except the heavy machinery that keep on pounding stood tall above those fences.
Now, if you would be that piece of ground, how would you feel after that historical, full of excitement day?
Sure, you would expect that the excitement continues and without any effort the tall and beautiful building would stand on you, right?
WRONG!
No building would be able to stand without any strong foundation underneath it.
A solid strong foundation is a crucial part of any high building. Even though it is placed deep under, these strong steel beam are what up hold the building.
No one is thrilled with the messy dirt all over the place when the digging started. No one claps as those heavy machinery pound on the hard soil. These process remain closed for the by-passers to see.
Like Job, he realized that in his moment of despair, the hands of God pressed hard on him – not to kill or destroy him, but to lay a strong solid foundation...
But sure enough, people would gladly come to see the finish work of art, the amazing structure, the magnificent architecture.
Natural catastrophe?
Our building stood the test of heat and rain...even the recent earthquake. Our building passed the test of nature, and all because it endured the process of laying the foundation.
Now, how tall you want your building to be? How solid you want your structure to become?
No one enjoy this process of deep drilling and penetrating to the soul.
Have mercy on me, my friends, have mercy,
for the hand of God has struck me.- Job 19:21
When unpleasant situation and problem arise, notice one thing, God has not leave stranded. Like Job, he realized that in his moment of despair, the hands of God pressed hard on him – not to kill or destroy him, but to lay a strong solid foundation – one that able to withstand any test, any wind, any rain, one that will carry a strong solid beautiful magnificent structure.
With this insight in mind, lets face difficulties and problems with our head up high, knowing that God is with us, His strong hand is upon us with intention to build and not to tear down. Have a blessed day!
